A Home Business often becomes established because of the need of a parent to work in their home because of the need to care for their children with special needs. We are proud to expand our cottage industry to fulfill this need. The newest addition to our family, Danielle known as Crochet Critter, has the enthusiasm and youth to have The Knit Tree begin a blog to share information on machine knitting and crochet techniques also including knitting and crochet patterns. Her unique circumstances of being a young parent of two daughters on the Autism Spectrum and being a cancer patient moved her to choose to work in the home with her knitting and crochet talents.
The mission of The Knit Tree blog is to share the over 40 years of machine knitting knowledge. Perhaps even more important to society is showing the support for Autism and cancer awareness with helpful information and how it affects the everyday life of someone who must balance between the biggest priority of attending to the needs of their special Needs children, attending to their own emotional and physical needs, and contributing to the financial support of their family.
We hope you get inspiration, information, support, and comfort by going to the Blog Topic of your choice: Machine Knitting, Crochet, Autism Awareness and Acceptance, Cancer or General. Also visit us on FACEBOOK for a lighthearted approach to machine knitting and crochet.
