This is a truely Unique Gift Idea. A great Baby Shower gift that won't be a Repeat!
Little Knitters skills grow as they learn new fabrics and knit with new yarns to make delightful gifts. Great Quality too!
This three piece set consists of soft cotton Baby Wash Clothes or Dish Rags with a Racked Zig Zag Pattern, and one in vertical in vertical stripes or checks of the racked ribs. This is a real Fashionable set of baby blue, baby pink, and white. They are approximately 13 inches square. The cotton yarn is knit in a texture that makes it thick and absorbant. Great for dishes, or a wonderful wash cloth for babies and adults alike!
What a Clever Way to be Practical! I like to give these as prizes at a Shower too. It makes a Fun Conversation Piece!
Little Knitters learn the pattern as a vertical stripe then they learn how to convert that into a checked pattern as well. So your set may be a variety of each pattern dependant at what knitting stage the Little Knitter is at that hand loomed your dish cloth set.

This pattern is written in Lesson Format for machine knitters. It starts with the beginner Fisherman Rib Dish Rag, then advances to the same dish rag in a racking rib pattern. Finally it tests your creativity by striped pattern with both fisherman rib and racked rib combine. There are lots of diagrams, tips, and explanations so you can take what you learn from these dishrags and apply it to other double bed patterns.
The Knitting Machine Version has been written for Passap and Japanese Standard Gauge machines with Ribbers. Mid gauge and Bulky machines can use the identical pattern, just changing the stitch sizes appropiate for your yarn. Therefore, any knitting machine with a ribber can use this pattern.
Sharon knit the sample baby wash cloths by hand and on both the Passap DM80 (E6000 follows same directions without the console) and the Brothers Standard Gauge knitting machine .
